The Nutritional Services Technician is accountable to provide all aspects of patient meal service. This individual is responsible for the preparation of hot and cold menu items for patient and cafeteria meals, as well as for special functions. The Nutritional Services Technician is accountable to have a fundamental understanding of prescribed diet information and food allergy protocols. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, obtaining patient meal orders, assembling trays, communicating prescribed diets, maintaining patient kardex system, preparing food following recipes, washing dishes, other kitchen related tasks, open and close the cafeteria, serve customers, run the cash register, and receive & put away vendor orders. The Nutritional Services Technician must proficiently complete all required documentation and abide by all sanitation and food safety standards. It is also vital to display exceptional client service at all times.
