About The Position

The Nutritional Aide at Senior Neighbors, Inc. plays a vital role in assisting the center coordinator with the daily operations of the congregate meals program and other center activities. This part-time position involves supporting meal preparation, supervising volunteers, and contributing to the development of activity programs for older adults.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• ServSafe food handlers certification required within one year of hire.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a variety of human dynamics and behavior.
• Experience working with older adults.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the setup, serving, and cleanup for the nutrition program.
• Supervise volunteers and/or staff in the meal program and specific center projects as directed.
• Assist in clerical and statistical reporting of the nutrition program and other center activities as directed.
• Help develop activity programs, organize activity leaders, schedule activities, promote participation, and provide materials and supplies as needed.
