Nutrition Technician / Part-Time / Mid-Day Shift / 11:00 am – 7:00 pm / 3 days one week, 2 days the following week / Weekends and Holidays Rotating Schedules NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children Hospital We are seeking a dedicated Nutrition Technician to join our AMAZING TEAM and support our clinical staff. This position focuses on preparing, delivering, and monitoring mixed formulas and human milk for patients, following established procedures and safety and mathematical guidelines. Serve as a valued member of the team and provide essential support and superior customer service to our patients and their families. Maintain a culture of compassion, caring and safety to help ensure a positive experience for every patient. The shift for this part-time position is Mid-Day, 11:00 am - 7:00 pm, 3 days one week, 2 days the following week, with rotating weekend and holiday schedules.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum two years of hospital nutrition-related work experience or enrolled in an education program as approved by the department.
  • Good mathematical skills.
  • Food Safety Certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Good verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with computers, including Microsoft Office Suite or internal electronic feeding management system (e.g., CBORD, Keriton) or electronic health record (e.g., Epic).

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree.
  • Student in nutrition or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Formula Preparation Management: accurately prepare and dispense specialized formulas and human milk-based nutrition according to prescribed patient health needs.
  • Inventory and Quality Control: maintain accurate records of formula preparation, manage stock levels, and ensure compliance with safety and sanitization protocols.
  • Collaboration and Communication: work closely with dietitians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient nutritional support.
  • Data Entry and Documentation: maintain detailed and accurate logs and update feeding management systems with patient-specific nutrition information.
