About The Position
Prepare and cook meals according to menus, therapeutic diets, and standardized recipes while meeting food safety regulations. Use proper food preparation and cooking methods to ensure quality, nutrition, portion control, and timely meal service. Assist with inventory, storage, labeling, and minimizing waste while keeping kitchen areas clean and organized. Follow facility policies, attend trainings, protect resident privacy, collaborate with staff, and support accurate, compliant food service operations. Requirements
- H.S. Diploma or GED preferred..
- Minimum Experience: Three (3) months Cook's experience or training in a commercial environment.
Nice To Haves
- Associates Degree. Preferred Field-of-Expertise: AAS in Culinary Arts
- Preferred Experience: One (1) year experience in quantity cooking in healthcare or hotel/restaurant; demonstrated culinary work experience.
- 10am-6pm
- 6am-2pm
- 3 weekends a month
- 30 hours per week
