About The Position

The Nutrition Services Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the food service operations within the Santa Ana Unified School District. This position is exclusively available to current employees of the district and focuses on ensuring that students receive nutritious meals in a safe and efficient manner. The assistant will be responsible for various tasks related to food preparation, service, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.

Requirements

• Two years of experience in a related field.
• High school graduation or equivalent.
• CA Food Handler Card or Servsafe Manager Certification or equivalent, or obtain within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals to students.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Support the implementation of nutrition programs and initiatives.
• Assist in inventory management and ordering of food supplies.
