As a Nutrition Services Assistant on our team, your job will be to create a healing environment and nutritious food — just like our patients have come to expect. For you, that means joining a team that’s focused on delivering world-class care. In this role, you flex between the retail side at the front counter and support the delivery of food trays. All the while, we’ll provide you with opportunities to keep advancing your career. A caregiver in this position works Monday-Friday from 6:00AM – 2:30PM or 11:00AM – 7:30PM, including rotating weekends and holidays.

Requirements

  • Good reading and writing skills
  • Ability to add, subtract and handle other arithmetic functions
  • Basic computer skills
  • Can accurately measure and portion formula and food

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two years of experience in nutrition in a healthcare setting

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of duties related to the set-up, delivery and food service.
  • Assist with daily dietary requests and needs of patients, visitors and caregivers.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Prepare, set up and replenish steam table, salad bar, cooler, baker’s racks, coffee area, condiments and silverware throughout the meal period.
  • Make pizzas to order and maintain all ingredients.
  • Set up and support catering events.
  • Maintain the register and proper cash handling with overages/shortages of less than 1.5% of total drawer.
  • Ensure proper food temperature using calibrated thermometers.
  • Rotate, prepare and label all leftover food.
  • Set up, serve and collect dinner patient trays.
  • Complete cleaning assignments.
