Responsibilities

• Perform area-specific assigned duties to ensure food service to patients, employees, and visitors.
• Maintain area and equipment in a clean and sanitary condition.
• Observe all safety and sanitation policies and procedures as they relate to specific areas.
• Provide quality customer service.
• Use proper technique for pulling and rotating stock and labeling and dating of foods.
• Maintain foods at proper temperatures to assure safety and freshness following H.A.C.C.P. principles.
• Prepare and deliver patient nourishments to the patient care area.
• Deliver meals to patient rooms and communal areas.
• Perform various duties after tray service such as pre-setting trays, washing carts, and readying foods for the next meal.
• Scrape, soak, wash, and sanitize pots and pans, checking for cleanliness and sorting for delivery to assigned areas.
• Operate and maintain pot machine and record temperatures.
• Dispose of trash and maintain cleanliness and order of areas.
