About The Position
Fairview is looking for a Nutrition Services Aide at our UMMC - West Bank location, in Minneapolis, MN. This is a full time position offering 80 hours bi-weekly on day shift and is benefit eligible! Prepares and portions food, assembles and disassembles patient trays in a safe manner. Serves customers, delivers, and retrieves patient trays. Schedule Week 1 Tue: 7:30am-4pm Wed: 7:30am-4pm Thu: 7:30am-4pm Fri: 7:30am-4pm Week 2 Mon: 7:30am-4pm Tue: 7:30am-4pm Wed: 7:30am-4pm Fri: 7:30am-4pm Sat: 7:30am-4pm Sun: 7:30am-4pm
Requirements
- Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing, using the English language. Basic math skills.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or GED
Responsibilities
- Prepares and portions food appropriately for designated areas.
- Plates and serves food.
- Handles and stores food in a safe manner following HACCP standard operation procedures.
- Sanitizes equipment and work area per assigned schedules and designated procedures.
- Wash and sanitize dishes and utensils.
- Serves customers in cafeterias, doctors dining rooms and other non-patient locations.
- Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.
