About The Position
Fairview is looking for a Nutrition Services Aide at our UMMC - West Bank location, in Minneapolis, MN This position is 28 hours bi-weekly, on 4pm-8pm evening shift. This position is not benefit eligible. Prepares and portions food, assembles and disassembles patient trays in a safe manner. Serves customers, delivers, and retrieves patient trays. Schedule Week 1 Monday: 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Week 2 Monday: 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday: 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday: 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday: 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday: 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday: 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Requirements
- Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing, using the English language.
- Basic math skills.

Responsibilities
- Prepares and portions food appropriately for designated areas.
- Plates and serves food.
- Handles and stores food in a safe manner following HACCP standard operation procedures.
- Sanitizes equipment and work area per assigned schedules and designated procedures.
- Wash and sanitize dishes and utensils.
- Serves customers in cafeterias, doctors dining rooms and other non-patient locations.
- Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.
