About The Position

The Nutritional Services Aide is responsible for a wide variety of food tasks, including assisting in the preparation of meals, washing dishes, and/or serving meals in accordance with the philosophy, goals, and objectives of Cozad Community Health System. Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Prior food service experience preferred.
Must have completed safe food handling training or willing to complete it within 3 months of being hired.
Basic Life Support (CPR)
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to speak effectively with residents, visitors, and employees.

Nice To Haves

Prior food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assists in preparation of meals following approved menus.
Prepares baked goods, desserts, and salads.
Assembles trays ensuring smooth workflow from food preparation to delivery of trays.
Serves residents and guests.
Collects resident trays after meal service.
Assists in stocking and maintaining supplies for kitchens and dining rooms.
Ensures washing and sanitation of all dishes and cooking equipment.
Cleans tables, work surfaces, equipment, and kitchen floors.
Ensures program adheres to all federal, state, and local requirements.
Follows all HIPAA guidelines and promotes and ensures resident safety.
Fulfills mission statement by performing job duties with a high level of customer service while contributing to a positive and professional environment.
Special projects and other duties as assigned.
