About The Position

This is a full-time, benefited Nutrition Services Aide position with a starting rate of $24.00p/h. The appropriate candidate will need to be flexible as this position will work some morning shifts, some middle shifts as well as some afternoon/evening shifts. Working some weekends will also be required. This position does not have a set schedule. The Nutrition Services Aide II primary responsibility is to serve as a Nutrition Service Aide. This position assists in preparing therapeutic and modified diets for patients as well as preparing meals for employees, visitors and special functions. The Nutrition Services Aide II assists in maintaining inventory, serviceware, and sanitary conditions within the department. This position performs the responsibilities as a Cook and Nutrition Service Clerk, as needed within the Department.

Requirements

• Food handlers permit (if required by state or county regulations).
• Training in food preparation for therapeutic diets.
• Recent institutional cooking experience.
• Special function cooking experience desirable.
• Knowledge of food safety guidelines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing therapeutic and modified diets for patients.
• Prepare meals for employees, visitors, and special functions.
• Maintain inventory and serviceware.
• Ensure sanitary conditions within the department.
• Perform responsibilities as a Cook and Nutrition Service Clerk as needed.
