About The Position

The Nutrition Service Representative is responsible for providing meal service to patients in assigned units, ensuring that their dietary needs are met through menu selections, tray assembly, delivery, and communication with nursing staff regarding patient nutrition requirements.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of previous food service experience in a hospital setting required.

Nice To Haves

• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Experience with various diets used in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient meal service including menu selections, tray assembly, delivery, and pickup.
• Address special requests and needs for patient meals.
• Deliver in-between meal food as required.
• Communicate patient food issues and concerns to team members.
• Interact with nursing staff regarding patient nutrition needs and requirements.
• React accurately to changes in service to ensure efficiency and accuracy of modified diets.
