About The Position

Aramark Student Nutrition provides food and nutrition services to over 350 school districts in the U.S. It offers public and private education institutions a variety of dining options including breakfast and lunch programs, after-school snacks, catering, nutrition education and retail operations. The Nutrition Manager plans, coordinates, and manages student nutrition activities while complying with the standards established by Aramark, regulatory agencies, and clients. Utilizes technical training and government-mandated nutritional standards on food health. Develops and implements cost-effective healthy menu plans, functions as a member of the multidisciplinary nutrition team, and maintains policies, and standards. May work closely with Senior Level Management teams.

Requirements

  • Requires at least 5-7 years of experience as a clinical dietitian
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree at an accredited institution with course work accredited or approved by the appropriate nutrition and dietetics agencies
  • Earn and maintain applicable certifications, registrations, licenses, credentials and continuing education requirements by the appropriate accredited local agencies
  • Formal eligibility to practice dietetics in geographic location where applicable

  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Helps to provide a nutritionally sound and cost-efficient food services program that will meet the needs of students while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Develops multiple menus in compliance with federal, state, and local child nutrition program regulations, and Aramark guidelines.
  • Works closely with OpX and culinary team to develop recipes that meet USDA and ISBE Child Nutrition regulations.
  • Assists operations team in understanding special dietary needs including dietary restrictions related to food allergies and intolerances, personal preferences or religious reasons.
  • Supports health and wellness platforms and implementation of programs such as scratch cooking, food samplings, guest speaker events, and other onsite events.
  • Maintains registration status through the Commission on Dietetic Registration and Licensure through the state board.
  • Maintains professional continuing education annually.
  • Point of contact in the absence of the Senior Nutrition Manager.
  • Other essential duties as assigned.
