Job Summary: Assembly and delivery of patient meals. Proper washing and sanitizing of dishes using a dish machine. Collect and delivery nutrition supplies to hospital units. Attendants may also work in retail food outlets, preparing and serving food to employees, guests and visitors. Payment processing and cash handling are required in retail locations. All employees may assist with catering functions, as needed. Work collaboratively to provide exceptional food and service to all patients, visitors, guests and employees, while meeting all regulatory requirements put forth by local, state and federal agencies.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma, GED or appropriate working papers (for minors).
  • 1 year of food service or nutrition experience, preferably in a healthcare facility.

Nice To Haves

  • 2-year Nutrition or healthcare related degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble patient meals using proper portion control and being aware of allergens
  • Use dish machine for properly washing and sanitizing dishes and utensils
  • Ensure patient/family satisfaction via direct patient interaction
  • Manage nutritional supplies on units
  • Maintain a clean facility throughout service
  • Maintain departmental policies and procedures of clinical care in accordance with regulatory agencies
  • Effective Communication and demonstration of team-based management.
  • Is flexible in assuming other appropriate responsibilities, not noted above.
