What You Can Expect Food Tray Delivery Completes all steps related to passing of patient food trays in a timely, courteous manner using clean technique. Menu & Tray Review Checks menus and trays for accuracy. Dietary Needs Tracking Documents food allergies, special needs, and likes and dislikes into patient cardex. Tube-Feeding Products Gathers, labels, and delivers tube-feeding products and nourishments to nursing units as ordered. Patient Collaboration Interacts with patients and obtains meal selections appropriate for their therapeutic diet. Quality Control Initiatives Participates in performance improvement and quality control initiatives. Heath Care Team Collaboration Communicates with nursing staff and clinical dietitians regarding patient nutrition care requirements such as diet education, and poor or insufficient nourishment. Diet Order Restrictions Understands diet order restrictions and offers appropriate choices to patients. Patient Information Verification Verifies patient information prior to delivering trays.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1 year Healthcare experience, food service experience or diet office experience
