About The Position
The Nutrition Assistant is responsible for the implementation of nutrition care orders for our pediatric patient population. This role involves preparing fortified human milk and patient formula using a state-of-the-art electronic scanning program, interpreting and processing feeding orders and meal trays, and maintaining ongoing communication with clinical dietitians, nursing staff, rehab staff, and medical staff. The Nutrition Assistant participates in departmental meetings, double checks meal preparation processes for inpatients and outpatient specialty diets, completes discharge education with families, and assists in training new personnel.
