About The Position

Join our team as a Nutrition Aide Substitute and make a difference in your community! This part-time position is located in Berwick, PA, and operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM, as needed during the program year from August to June. As a Nutrition Aide Substitute, you will prepare, cook, and portion nutritious meals for children, serve meals to classrooms with care and efficiency, and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming kitchen environment. You will also be responsible for ordering food and supplies when needed during your substitution timeframe and fostering positive relationships with staff and children, following the principles of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS).

Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or its equivalent, OR, an eighth-grade education and two years of experience in a related field.
• Preferably have had direct experience working with young children.
• Must possess a valid PA driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and portion nutritious meals for children.
• Serve meals to classrooms with care and efficiency.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming kitchen environment.
• Order food and supplies when needed during your substitution timeframe.
• Foster positive relationships with staff and children, following the principles of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS).
