Nut Former 2nd Shift Mon-Fri 2:30PM-1AM $35/hr.-$45/hr Plus $3

About the position

As a nut former, you'll be part of our team located in Brea, CA. You'll get to set, operate and troubleshoot nut forming machines, keep machines in best operating conditions, and efficiently maximize the output of the production equipment to produce quality products. You will also be responsible for producing quality products utilizing manufacturing drawings and process control documents, demonstrating the safe use of all shop support equipment, training operators in machine operation and safety practices, and communicating any machine or equipment conditions to maintenance and supervision. Additionally, you will gather materials for production and report production and set-up in the K-Lite production tracking system.

Responsibilities

• Sets, operates and troubleshoots nut forming machines as required by demand or direction of supervision.
• Keeps machines in best operating conditions, including replacing worn fasteners, machine parts or tooling.
• Maximizes the output of the production equipment and produces quality products that meet all expectations.
• Produces quality products utilizing manufacturing drawings, process control documents, training materials, and departmental work instructions.
• Demonstrates the safe use of all shop support equipment necessary to prepare or modify tooling.
• Trains operators in machine operation and safety practices.
• Detects, evaluates and communicates machine/equipment conditions, material anomalies, part/tool drawing discrepancies or other unusual shop floor activities.
• Gathers materials for production such as part drawings, tool drawings, production schedules, and production reports.
• Reports production and set-up in the K-Lite production tracking system.

Requirements

• 1 year of previous nut forming experience.
• Maintains the entire workplace in a safe, clean operating condition on a daily basis.
• Communicates all pertinent and/or necessary information to fellow employees, supervision, and support teams.
• Knowledge of all internal forms of measuring devices, such as micrometers, calipers, gages, etc.
