Unit secretaries play a vital role in the healthcare industry because they support a wide range of individuals, including patients and other medical professionals. The Nursing Unit Secretary performs clerical, receptionist, and transporter duties. The ideal candidate for this role will possess strong customer service skills, effective communication skills, and have the ability to multi-task. MFT 4B is a twenty-four bed Cardiac Telemetry patient care where patients are under constant electronic monitoring. Summary: The Nursing Unit Secretary II role performs clerical, receptionist, and transporter duties. This role has responsibility for advanced unit involvement in projects and house-wide activities. Requirements

High School diploma or GED preferred
Current BLS certification preferred or may be required based on location
Three years of secretarial experience with at least one year within MaineHealth required
Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Nursing Unit Secretary I role
strong customer service skills
effective communication skills
ability to multi-task
