About The Position

Maine Medical Center is seeking a Nursing Unit Secretary to support our Operating Room (OR) team. In this role, you will perform a variety of clerical, receptionist, and transporter duties , helping to ensure smooth daily operations in a fast-paced clinical environment. This position plays a vital role in supporting patient care and maintaining efficient communication within the unit. Come join a highly engaged group of individuals in our Level 1 Trauma Operating Room . We are seeking someone with high energy, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to multitask in a dynamic and demanding environment. Requirements

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Current BLS certification preferred or may be required based on location.
• One year of hospital or health care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary receptionist for the unit, greeting patients, families, and visitors
• Perform clerical and administrative duties to support nursing and clinical staff
• Facilitate communication within the unit and with other departments
• Assist with patient transport as needed
• Maintain organization and workflow in a busy OR setting
