Document in the Electronic Medical Record while following established and standardized protocols. Participate in emergency care of patients including applying oxygen, retrieving and setting up AED, and participating in BLS. Acquire patient vital signs including heart rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure, pulse oximetry, weight, height, and temperature. Work at the direction of the providers and teammates to accomplish patient care tasks and maintain workflow. Determine necessary paperwork for appointments and proactively provide assistance to patients completing paperwork. Actively participating in care center protocols including HIPAA, universal blood, and body fluid precautions, etc. Our Nursing Technician is a key component to our patient experience at Mercy. Requirements

Outstanding communication skills.
Ability to use and document in our Electronic Medical Record.
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and clinical skills, and the ability to work with a wide variety of people.
Practice safety, environmental, and/or infection control methods.

Nice To Haves

2 years of medical assistant experience preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain with 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities
