About The Position

Montefiore New Rochelle is seeking Nursing Technicians/Patient Care Technicians to provide essential patient care services in a community-based hospital setting. Requirements

• Graduate of State Certified Program and High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a technician program or hospital program.
• EKG/Phlebotomy/BLS Certification required.

Nice To Haves

• Spanish language proficiency (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Take and record patient's height/weight, health history, and vital signs including blood pressure and blood drawing and EKG's.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
• Prepare examination rooms and sterilize equipment.
• Assist in clerical procedures including scheduling patients and answering phones.
• Perform routine tests such as urinalysis, blood sugar, and hematocrit.
