PM or NOC Nursing Supervisor, Union Grove Veterans Home - REANNOUNCEMENT
About The Position
Under general supervision of the DON, the Shift Nursing Supervisor is responsible and accountable for the administration and direction of nursing services on an assigned shift at WVHUG and is a member of the nursing management team. Responsibilities include supervising direct and indirect patient care; collaborating in the development, initiation, monitoring and evaluation of programs that ensure quality patient care and appropriate staffing; and ensuring compliance with state, federal and Veterans Administration regulations and WDVA and WVHUG policies and procedures. The incumbent supervises unit employees during assigned shift and is responsible and accountable for the cost-effective utilization of staff, equipment and other resources assigned to Nursing Services.
Requirements
- Wisconsin Registered Nurse license by date of hire
- Providing nursing services in a long-term care setting (e.g., Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse, nursing home, assisted living, other senior residential facility, etc.)
- Performing lead worker duties (e.g., assigning and prioritizing work, monitoring work performance, checking work product, coordinating staff schedules, mentoring, training, communicating with staff regarding timeliness, reporting and/or addressing concerns, etc.)
