Occupational health nursing is a specialized field dedicated to delivering health and safety services that support workers and workplace communities. This practice centers on promoting and restoring health, preventing illness and injury, and safeguarding individuals from work‑related and environmental hazards. The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for providing high‑quality professional nursing care and leading the occupational health programs at an assigned facility. This role oversees the implementation and maintenance of facility‑level occupational health policies, procedures, and nursing practices within the appropriate scope. Key responsibilities include managing a comprehensive injury and illness prevention and early‑intervention program; overseeing workers’ compensation processes; and ensuring all reporting and recordkeeping meet OSHA, state, company, and legal standards. The Nurse Supervisor also participates in facility management meetings to deliver health‑related updates, supports safety and ergonomic initiatives, develops and delivers health education programs for Team Members, and maintains strict confidentiality in all matters. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
