Nursing Supervisor
About The Position
Nursing Department Management Oversees clinical nursing activities to ensure effective and efficient workflow. Quickly reports any workflow issues to Director of Nursing (DON). Maintains the nurses work schedule for the department. This includes approving requests for personal time off (PTO) and sick leave according to agency policy and program coverage needs. Implements and educates nursing staff on any development/revision to department standards and protocols. Provides supportive guidance and direction to nursing staff as needed. Assists the DON to enforce compliance with JCAHO, state licensing and out of state contract standards. Coordinates with DON to develop/implement staff recruitment and retention strategies through HRD. Ensure medication administration protocols are adhered to and documented effectively in the chart. Notify the DON of any issues as soon as possible. Takes call including, but not limited to, overnight & on weekends
Requirements
- Successful completion of accredited School of Nursing
- RN licensure in Arkansas in good standing
- 3 years clinical nursing experience
- 2 years supervisory experience
- Valid Arkansas driver's license with driving record acceptable to insurance carrier
