About The Position

Supervisor, Nursing – Cardiac Stepdown Bring your passion to THR so we are Better + Together!! Work location: Texas Health HEB: 1600 Hospital Parkway Bedford, Texas 76022 Work hours: Full Time (36 Hour); Day Shift, 1-12 hour shift and 3-8 hour shifts each week. Department highlights: • Team based environment • Workplace culture 2nd to none • Great benefits/ 401k / PTO Here’s What You Need • Associate's Degree Nursing required OR • Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred • 2 years experience as a Registered Nurse with previous experience as a Charge Nurse or similar leadership role (Committee Chair, Preceptor) required • Previous cardiac experience preferred • RN - Registered Nurse upon hire required AND • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required AND • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 days AND • NIHSS – National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification 30 days AND • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 days required What You Will Do • Collaborates with leadership, UBC, and appropriate team members to establish, implement, and monitor department policies/procedures, facilitate unit goals, evaluate, and individualize patient care and provide director to staff to promote quality outcomes. • This role provides bedside leadership on a particular unit or units and shift, coordinating patient flow, patient care and assignments. • Effectively communicates with patients, families, and other healthcare team members by incorporating the 8 caring factors in the Quality Care Model. • Incorporates THR philosophy in working with peers, and other members of the health care team. Partners with physicians to advance physician engagement. • Assimilates leadership responsibilities on the unit and throughout the entity and/or system. Promotes a positive image of Texas Health Nursing. Requirements

  • Associate's Degree Nursing required OR
