About The Position

Reporting to the Director Nursing Operations and is responsible for patient flow, patient placement coordination, staffing, and facilitating quality of hospital service. Leading hospital operations in the absence of administrative department heads as resource and support in coordination with the AOC (Administrator on Call) on both the Mission Viejo and Laguna Beach campuses. Serves as a nursing resource and intervenes in difficult situations with patients and/or families or medical crisis. Performs as a clinical resource for patient placements, and on the Laguna Beach campus serves as a clinical resource during medical emergencies and performs under "Stat Nurse" Standardized Procedure for safe and appropriate care. Performing duties and conducting interpersonal relationships in a manner designed to project the core values of Mission. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • California Registered Nurse License
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • 2 years Experience in acute care in the Emergency Department, Intensive care unit, or Definitive Step Down unit

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in Nursing Administration or other advanced degree in a nursing related field
  • Coursework/Training: Electronic Medical Record or other bed placement software Administrative Nursing Supervisor experience, or Rapid Response experience, or Sepsis Response experience, or Charge Nurse/Relief Charge Nurse experience
  • Second National Certification in specialty area and/or Professional Certification in Nurse Management, as approved by American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Magnet
