About The Position
Under the guidance of the Director of Operating Room Services, is responsible for the efficient coordination of the Operating Room. Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the delivery of patient care. Assists in providing administrative direction in the development and evaluation of nursing personnel and contributes to nursing and hospital through support of philosophy, objectives, and educational efforts.
Requirements
- BSN or BS Degree (or degree seeking candidate) preferred.
- Current Florida Nursing License
- Current BLS Certification
- Current ACLS Certification
- Ability to apply job knowledge, principles and technical skills, while utilizing the nursing process in the delivery of safe patient care.
- Ability to utilize principles of Human Resource Management in dealing with staff members.
- Understanding of all aspects of perioperative nursing care and specific managerial and leadership knowledge.
- Minimum of 3 years peri-operative nursing experience
