Responsible for the administrative or programmatic management of designated functions for a specialized department or area. The SRO Nursing Supervisor will act in cohort with nurse managers as liaison for all nursing units and ancillary departments within the Medical Center. This individual will work closely with the RN Bed Coordinator to support and augment adequate staffing. The SRO Nursing Supervisor will adhere to prescribed algorithms and guidelines for making staffing decisions. As Incident Commander for Emergency Management the SRO Nursing Supervisor will coordinate the dissemination of information during emergency response situations. The SRO Nursing Supervisor acts as after-hours contact for Employee Health Risk Management and Patient Representatives. The SRO Nursing Supervisor will manage staffing for PACU-B and ED Boarders. Assess the needs of internal/external customers according to established professional standards and institutional guidelines/policy/procedure. Organizes and prioritizes services and activities considering the needs of the customers. Actively participates in quality improvement program development and professional growth activities for self while assisting in the professional development of others. Evaluates effectiveness of services. Demonstrates leadership in the delivery of services. Provides for a safe environment and safe delivery of services. In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
