About The Position

Nursing Supervisor (RN) – Float Pool Bring your passion for Texas Health So We Are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Plano 6200 West Parker Road, Plano, TX 75093 Work hours: Full Time/Days for 40/hrs per week · 2 12-hour shifts; 6:45a – 7:15p (direct care) · 2 8- hour shifts (admin shifts) · Periodic adjusted hours (early morning/late evening) to engage with and support night-shift teams based on business needs Here’s What You Need: · Associate’s degree in nursing required · Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred · 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse with previous experience as a charge nurse or similar leadership role (i.e. Charge Nurse, Committee Chair, Preceptor) · Experience in cardiac/telemetry as an RN highly preferred · RN – Registered Nurse upon hire required and · BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained required and · ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days required and · CPI – Crisis Prevention Training maintained annually, within 90 days required · A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment. What You Will Do: · Collaborates with Leadership, UBC, and appropriate team members to establish, implement, and monitor department policies/procedures, facilitate unit goals, evaluate and individualize patient care and provide direction to staff to promote quality outcomes · Engage staff to promote evidence-based practices within the unit · Monitors key performance indicators (KPI’s) and regulatory requirements for compliance · Provides bedside leadership and clinical expertise to improve quality of patient care · This role provides bedside leadership on a particular unit or units and shift, coordinating patient flow, patient care and assignments. Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in nursing required
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
