Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in nursing required or
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
  • 2 years of experience as a registered nurse with previous experience as a charge nurse or similar leadership role (i.e. Charge Nurse, Committee Chair, Preceptor)
  • Charge Nurse experience in an ED preferred
  • RN – Registered upon hire required and
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and
  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire required and
  • PALS – Pediatric Advance Life Support within 90 days of hire required
  • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days, maintained annually required and
  • TNCC – Trauma Nursing Core Course within 6 months required or
  • ATCN – Advanced Trauma Care Nurse within 6 months required
  • A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment
