About The Position

The Nursing Supervisor is a Registered Nurse RN who provides direct care, leadership, direction, and supervision for all nursing care on their shift. The nursing supervisor is the on-site administrator during the 'off hours' (weekends, holidays, and night shifts) providing direction and supervision in all areas of the hospital. The nursing supervisor coordinates admissions, discharges, response to emergency codes, and overall quality of care for patients.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program required.
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• A minimum of three years' experience in a psychiatric health-care facility required.
• Previous House Supervisor experience strongly preferred.
• Registered Nurse RN license issued by the State of Michigan required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and supervision for all nursing care on the shift.
• Act as the on-site administrator during off hours.
• Coordinate admissions and discharges.
• Respond to emergency codes.
• Ensure overall quality of care for patients.
