About The Position

Palmetto Lowcountry Behavioral Health is now seeking to fill our House Supervisor Registered Nurse (RN) positions (various shifts) with a $20,000 SIGN-ON-BONUS! Position Summary As a member of the nursing management team, the House Supervisor RN manages and delivers quality care to psychiatric patients, residents, family members and all customer groups. Using discretion, handles patient complaints. Works closely with admissions team regarding patients being admitted after hours and those being discharged. Oversees all codes and ensures proper documentation. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Nursing.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited college of nursing. BSN or BS preferred. Specialty certification also preferred.
• Minimum of One (1) year of recent Psychiatric Nursing experience, including an addictions component.
• Recent management/administrative experience preferred.
• Child, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric Age-Specific Competencies
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of South Carolina.
• CPR/CPI Certification Required – provided upon hire

Responsibilities

• Works closely with all members of the treatment team and keeps both the physicians, AOC, and CNO informed of issues that arise.
• Controls FTEs and arranges staffing for nursing units in accordance with staffing grids, census, and patient acuity.
• Monitors the Patient Activity Schedule to ensure that activities take place on time and that each treatment modality occurs as planned.
• Demonstrates an awareness of employee morale in the department and reports employee needs to Nurse Manager, ADON, and or CNO.
• Supervise all nursing service staff and evaluates performance of staff to include presenting corrective actions, when necessary.
• Ensures that protocols and processes are carried out consistently as planned 24-hours a day, seven days a week.
• Assists Nurse Managers to ensure employee injuries are investigated for cause and that appropriate documentation is submitted within 24 hours to HR. Ensures Nurse Manager, CEO, CNO, and AOC are notified as needed. Ensures staff have spoken with Workers Comp Triage Nurse.
• After-hours and on weekends, ensures treatment plans are added or discontinued to accurately reflect the patient's current plan of care.
• Available for treatment team meetings, as needed.
