Fairview is looking for a Nursing Station Technician at the M Health Fairview Northland Medical Center in Princeton, MN! This position is 60 hours every two weeks on the Night shift, for 12 hour shifts, and every third weekend, and is eligible for benefits such as medical, dental, and more. M Health Fairview Northland Medical Center provides convenient access to expert, coordinated care to patients in the Princeton, Elk River, Zimmerman, and surrounding communities. Requirements

  • Basic Life Support (BLS for Healthcare Providers) certification required.
  • Successful completion of Fairview's OnTrack Nursing Assistant training program or another Fairview sponsored Nursing Assistant program.
  • Six months of recent direct care experience in a long term, home care or acute care setting.
  • Current enrollment in an LPN, RN or Nurse Practitioner program, and completion of one (1) semester of clinical rotation within the program.
  • Current certification on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Performs delegated nursing functions to assigned patients including personal care, ambulation, exercise, nutrition, specimen collection and vital signs.
  • Performs special procedures (eg: skin care) as defined by patient care unit practice guidelines.
  • Observes patients and reports any changes in status to appropriate staff.
  • Communicates effectively with all members of the health care team.
  • Performs environmental and other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Accurately maintains the medical record.
  • Efficiently schedules patient tests and procedures.
  • Maintains unit communication systems and central desk area.
  • Actively participates in staff development.
