About the position

M Health Fairview is looking for a Nursing Station Technician at St. John's Hospital in Maplewood, MN. This position is 60 hours per two weeks on the DAY shift, for 12 hour shifts, every third weekend, variable schedule and is eligible for benefits such as: PTO, dental/medical insurance, and more. The starting base rate of pay for the Nursing Station Technician is $23.40. Candidates with experience may be brought in at a higher rate of pay. Responsibilities
- Patient care such as personal hygiene, vitals, daily activities, repositioning, transporting, and feeding
- Setting up and maintaining patient rooms
- Ordering and stocking of supplies
- Answering telephone calls as able
Requirements
- Successful completion of Fairview's OnTrack Nursing Assistant training program or another Fairview sponsored Nursing Assistant program
- Six months of recent direct care experience in a long term, home care or acute care setting (Appropriate roles may include, Nursing Assistant, PCA, Resident Assistant or Emergency Room Technician)
- Prefer 6 months acute care/med surg experience
- Current enrollment in an LPN, RN or Nurse Practitioner program, and completion of one (1) semester of clinical rotation within the program
- Current certification on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry upon hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS for Healthcare Providers) certification required
