This position requires a traineeship for 26 weeks at SG06 level, depending on experience. Upon satisfactory completion of the traineeship, the incumbent will be promoted to a journeyman title, SG07. The duties include, but are not limited to, referring incoming calls and messages, greeting and assisting visitors, preparing records, initiating patient services, processing physician and nursing staff orders, and inputting patient registration and other relevant information into the hospital computer system. Effective communication is essential for transferring information and completing a variety of tasks within a given time frame. Excellent communication and organizational skills are necessary, along with computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
