About The Position

The Nursing Services Team Leader oversees daily operations for Med Surg and Emergency Services while ensuring safe, high-quality, patient-centered care. The role includes staff mentorship, performance oversight, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance. This position is ideal for a nurse ready to expand leadership responsibilities and contribute to team development and departmental performance.

Requirements

Associate Degree in Nursing
Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Minnesota
BLS certification required upon hire and must be maintained
ACLS and PALS: Must be obtained within one (1) year of hire; ongoing maintenance required. EBCH provides this certification.
CALS: Must be obtained within two (2) years of hire; ongoing maintenance is required. EBCH provides this certification.
TNCC and ENPC may be supplemented as meeting requirements for CALS; however, EBCH does not provide TNCC and ENPC.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Minimum three (3) years of acute care hospital nursing experience
Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a healthcare setting
Experience with utilization review, case management, or regulatory compliance
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer requirements

Responsibilities

Oversee daily clinical operations and ensure adherence to professional standards and regulatory requirements.
Mentor and support nursing staff through coaching, performance feedback, and professional development planning.
Analyze departmental metrics and implement action plans to improve quality, efficiency, and patient outcomes.
Support budget monitoring and maintain organized administrative and reporting process.
Partner with leadership and interdisciplinary teams to support patient flow, care coordination, and operational effectiveness.
