About The Position

The Nursing Services Team Leader oversees daily operations for Med Surg and Emergency Services while ensuring safe, high-quality, patient-centered care. The role includes staff mentorship, performance oversight, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance. This position is ideal for a nurse ready to expand leadership responsibilities and contribute to team development and departmental performance.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Minnesota
  • BLS certification required upon hire and must be maintained
  • ACLS and PALS: Must be obtained within one (1) year of hire; ongoing maintenance required. EBCH provides this certification.
  • CALS: Must be obtained within two (2) years of hire; ongoing maintenance is required. EBCH provides this certification.
  • TNCC and ENPC may be supplemented as meeting requirements for CALS; however, EBCH does not provide TNCC and ENPC.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • Minimum three (3) years of acute care hospital nursing experience
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a healthcare setting
  • Experience with utilization review, case management, or regulatory compliance
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer requirements

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily clinical operations and ensure adherence to professional standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Mentor and support nursing staff through coaching, performance feedback, and professional development planning.
  • Analyze departmental metrics and implement action plans to improve quality, efficiency, and patient outcomes.
  • Support budget monitoring and maintain organized administrative and reporting process.
  • Partner with leadership and interdisciplinary teams to support patient flow, care coordination, and operational effectiveness.
