About The Position

Find your purpose by becoming a Nursing Service Tech in the Float Pool at Rice Memorial Hospital! Summary Perform routine treatment procedures as directed. Assists Staff Nurse in complicated treatment procedures. Maintain traction supplies including traction cart every shift. Complete all equipment set up as directed. Report any changes observed in condition or behavior of patient. Communicate any patient complaints of pain to patient's nurse, charge nurse or unit coordinator. Assist in and, as necessary, accompany patient in the admission, transfer and discharge procedures. Provide and/or assists with personal care as necessary (i.e. baths, dressing of patient, personal hygiene, etc.) Assist with patient care, such as positioning patient, lifting and turning patient with proper body mechanics, applying/utilizing special equipment as necessary and ambulating the patient as directed. Under supervision, perform general care activities for patients in isolation. Schedule 64 hours every 2 weeks Rotating day, evening and night shifts (all shifts) Mix of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts Every 3 rd weekend Rotating holidays Pay and Benefits Starting pay begins at $19.08 per hour and increases with experience Pay range: $19.08 to $25.30 per hour Fulltime benefits : Medical, dental, PTO, retirement, employee discounts and more!
