About The Position
The Nursing Remediation Specialist works closely with nursing students of all backgrounds and learning styles to promote psychomotor skill learning in the nursing skills laboratory. This role involves engaging with current and re-entry students to support skill-based learning, reinforcing and evaluating clinical nursing skills, and collaborating with Nursing Faculty to plan and implement skill proficiency activities. The specialist also assists with remedial support for nursing students preparing for the NCLEX RN licensure examination and tracks data in compliance with Virginia Board of Nursing and Accreditation Standards.
