About The Position

The Nursing Practice Manager plays a crucial role in supporting and mentoring Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) program supervisors, administrators, and state nurse consultants. This position focuses on ensuring quality and efficient implementation of the NFP home visiting model, facilitating skill development through various teaching modalities, and collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders. The role is remote, allowing for flexibility in location, and emphasizes the importance of cultural awareness and inclusivity in nursing practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required; master's degree in nursing or a related area preferred.
  • Current RN license in good standing required.
  • Minimum one-year experience within the NFP program or other home visiting program providing nurse home visitation to pregnant women or families with young children.
  • Minimum one-year experience with reflective practice and motivational interviewing.
  • Minimum one-year experience teaching adult learners, public speaking, presentation, consultation, and/or nursing education.
  • Minimum three years' experience in community health, home visiting, family/maternal-child health, pediatrics, or mental health.
  • Minimum three years' experience in a managerial, administrative, or supervisory position.
  • Ability to interpret and use data to inform decisions and evaluate program performance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in public health policy and advocacy.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based practices in nursing and home visiting programs.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with NFP programs' nurse supervisors, administrators, and state nurse consultants to discuss clinical implementation and operational quality of the model.
  • Support nurse home visitors and administrators during site visits and through various communication platforms.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity and openness to diverse world views and cultural orientations while fostering an inclusive environment.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance in assessing and developing innovations to meet nursing practice needs.
