About The Position

The Postpartum / Mother-Baby Registered Nurse (RN) position involves providing care and education to new mothers and their infants during the postpartum period. The role is crucial in monitoring the health of mothers and newborns, addressing emotional needs, and teaching parents about infant care. This is a travel assignment with a focus on acute care in a mother-baby setting.

Requirements

• Active RN License
• Degree from an accredited nursing program
• BLS, ACLS & NRP Certification
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Mother/Baby setting

Responsibilities

• Educate and assist new mothers with physical and emotional needs during the postpartum period.
• Care for both mothers and their newborns after delivery.
• Monitor mothers' recovery and recognize signs of postpartum depression.
• Teach new parents how to care for, bathe, and feed their newborns.
• Ensure proper health monitoring of infants.
