About The Position

Under the Direction of the Manager of Nursing Resources and Throughout and guidance of Nursing Staffing Coordinator, you will work collaboratively with various nursing staff to facilitate adequate staffing for all inpatient care areas. This role provides administrative support to the Manager of Nursing Resources and Throughout, including daily monitoring of nursing resource utilization and preparing weekly reports to ensure maximum efficacy and efficiency. The position requires commitment to evening hours, with shifts primarily from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, and includes a commitment to every third weekend and holiday rotation.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Ansos software or willingness to learn.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Must be able to work independently and demonstrate complete follow through.
  • Experience with Excel spreadsheets.
  • 2-3 years of business, office, and/or clerical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Print and update Ansos and provide hard copies of daily staffing worksheets.
  • Identify needs based on Unit Specific Core Staffing Guidelines provided by the Nurse Manager.
  • Review existing needs with the Manager of Nursing Resources/Throughput and the Nurse Manager.
  • Report unscheduled absences to the Associate Staffing Coordinator.
  • Replace unscheduled absences with off-duty staff or additional hours worked by on-duty staff.
  • Coordinate schedules of Benefited Float and Per Diem Staff.
  • Submit automated Ansos payroll for all Benefited Float Staff, Per Diem Staff, and Rapid Response Team in the absence of Nursing Staffing Coordinator.
  • Arrange, attend, record, and disseminate minutes of staff/committee meetings in the absence of Nursing Staffing Coordinator.
  • Incorporate Lahey Clinic Guiding Principles, Mission Statement, and Goals into daily activities.
  • Comply with all Lahey Clinic Policies and behavioral expectations.
  • Maintain courteous and effective interactions with colleagues and patients.
  • Demonstrate understanding of job description, performance expectations, and competency assessment.
  • Commit to meeting and exceeding customer needs and adhere to Customer Service standards.
  • Participate in departmental and/or interdepartmental quality improvement activities.
  • Complete Mandatory Education.
  • Perform all other duties as needed or directed to meet the needs of the department.
