As a Nursing Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring all patient flow services are following our clinical standards. This role requires someone who can multitask in a fast-paced environment. The Nursing Operations Manager in this role is familiar with leadership, budgeting, clear communication and patient flow transactions. Your duties will include overseeing staff needs, directing the patient experience, resource allocation and monitoring budgets for the hospital. The ideal candidate is empathetic, has excellent communication skills, adapts well to change, maintains a positive and energetic attitude, and demonstrates strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills in the best interests of patients. A caregiver in this position works nights from 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. with rotating weekend and holiday requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Three years of experience in an acute care setting
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR the American Red Cross

Nice To Haves

  • One year of management experience
  • NIH Stroke Certification

Responsibilities

  • Identify and ensure appropriate placement, facilitation and expedition of all patient flow transactions, including direct and emergency patient admissions and transfers.
  • Address significant patient issues and staffing needs throughout the house and make modifications to ensure equitable staffing arrangements throughout the hospital.
  • Communicate changes with relevant leaders.
  • Manage the patient experience trans-organizationally to optimize all resources to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
