Indian River Hospital is looking to add a Nursing Operations Manager to the team, who will serve as the responsible agent for any circumstances requiring immediate response, resolution or referral. We’re looking for nurse leaders who are the definition of excellence in patient care, who are compassionate human beings always striving to lead, learn and grow, and who treat each other and their patients like family. This can be an intense role, requiring strong multitasking and prioritization skills. Through constant patient monitoring, you will directly impact the life of the patient. A caregiver in this position works days from 7:30AM – 7:30PM or nights from 7:30PM – 7:30AM, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of professional nursing
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• Two-three years of experience in acute care
• Strong interpersonal skills (e.g., conflict resolution, communication and leadership)

Nice To Haves

• Master's Degree in Nursing or a related field
• One year of experience in a management role
• Computer skills

Responsibilities

• Serve as administration on-site and as a responsible agent for any circumstances requiring immediate response, resolution or referral.
• Initiate, prioritize and resolve situations that impact patient care delivery and the safety of patients, visitors and caregivers through collaboration with departments.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care services in a unit.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective delivery of health services in a unit.
• Monitor and adhere to the annual hospital operating budget.
• Approve or monitor expenditures, purchases, and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines.
