Job description: The Nursing/Medical Assistant provides direct patient care and related services to support the nursing staff in delivering quality care to our patients. The Nursing/Medical Assistants play a critical role in ensuring that we can support our patients to the best of our ability.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Shows dependability by being punctual; maintains consistent attendance.
  • Maintains a safe environment for patients and co-workers, transports patients and equipment as appropriate.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Successful completion of nursing assistant course or the equivalent.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including taking vital signs and helping with patient mobility.
  • Assist nursing staff with administrative tasks, such as maintaining patient records.
  • Follow all safety protocols and adhere to infection control guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of quality care.
  • Ensure that patient rooms and equipment are kept clean and well-maintained.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
