Job description: The Nursing/Medical Assistant provides direct patient care and related services to support the nursing staff in delivering quality care to our patients. The Nursing/Medical Assistants play a critical role in ensuring that we can support our patients to the best of our ability.

Requirements

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Shows dependability by being punctual; maintains consistent attendance.
Maintains a safe environment for patients and co-workers, transports patients and equipment as appropriate.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
High school diploma or GED required.
Successful completion of nursing assistant course or the equivalent.
Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care, including taking vital signs and helping with patient mobility.
Assist nursing staff with administrative tasks, such as maintaining patient records.
Follow all safety protocols and adhere to infection control guidelines.
Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of quality care.
Ensure that patient rooms and equipment are kept clean and well-maintained.
Performs other duties as assigned.
