About The Position

The Nursing Manager (RN) is responsible for managing/oversight of the staff and daily operations of the adolescent/children's units.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Associates degree in a professional Nursing Program required.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) Licensed to practice in the State of Florida required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Registered Nurse. Experience working with a psychiatric patient population preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Can be relied upon to be at work as scheduled.
• Demonstrates a willingness to cooperate with others.

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred.
• Experience working with a psychiatric patient population preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages/oversees the staff and daily operations of the children's units.
• Utilizes shift report to project work. Manages staffing resources consistent with standards set by policy and procedures related to census and patient acuity.
• Attends all Nurse Manager/Supervisor meetings and mandatory in-services.
• Initiates and participates in evaluations, provides self as a positive role model for staff and patients.
• Oversees and provides education to staff in various duties, such as medication administration, HCS, Behavioral Management, Documentation and others.
