Get to Know Your Team: Seton Medical Center Harker Heights is an 83-bed acute care hospital offering services such as Cardiology, Emergency Services and a Level IV Trauma Designated ER, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Total Joint Replacement, Gastroenterology, Diagnostic Services and more. Responsibilities Reporting to the Director of Emergency Nursing, this position serves as the clinical nurse leader responsible for daily operations and management of the ER units. The Clinical Nurse Manager assumes responsibility for shift operations such as making appropriate assignments, patient care coordination, resolving issues, functioning as the resource nurse, participating in staffing decisions, rounding on patients, and maintaining TJC compliance. In collaboration with the Director of Emergency Nursing the Clinical Nurse Leader assumes management responsibilities such as Associate performance evaluations, corrective action, maintaining departmental efficiency, and participation in unit performance improvement programs.

Requirements

  • BSN required (or agree to attain within 3 years of position date)
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with Texas Board of Nursing - OR - current home state license is required for multi-state license recognition through the Nurse Licensure Compact
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and before providing direct patient care.
  • ACLS
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a nursing leadership position.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an Emergency department in an acute care hospital setting. Strongly preferred.
