About the Role The Nursing Home Administrator is responsible for overseeing all daily operations of the facility, ensuring regulatory compliance, financial sustainability, employee engagement, and exceptional resident care. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, strategic thinker, and empathetic leader who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • Active Indiana Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) license required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field (MBA a plus).
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience (not an Assistant or AIT role) in high-acuity skilled nursing facility management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting and census development .
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to resident-centered care and team development.
  • Track record of improving Quality Care Measures and earning accolades from Patient Satisfaction Surveys.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight for all clinical, operational, and administrative functions of the nursing facility.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Develop and implement policies, programs, and initiatives that enhance resident satisfaction and quality of care.
  • Reduce hospital return rates.
  • Manage budgets, financial performance, and resource allocation to meet organizational goals.
  • Recruit, mentor, and support staff to maintain a positive, resident-centered culture.
  • Reduce turnover.
  • Maintain an “Agency Free” staffing model.
  • Foster strong relationships with residents, families, employees, and community partners.
  • Lead facility surveys, quality improvement initiatives, and performance metrics evaluation.
  • Collaborate with leadership on strategic planning and operational priorities.
