The Nursing Home Administrator is responsible for directing, supervising, and evaluating long-term and acute care operations at a designated location. This includes overseeing nursing, social services, medical services, activities, dietary, pastoral care, medical records, compliance, life safety, admissions, quality assurance, performance improvement, and therapy. The Administrator develops departmental procedures and policies in accordance with governing statutes and monitors business operations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The role also involves maintaining appropriate census, addressing admissions and denials, ensuring infection control, and directing overall operations in the absence of the Superintendent. The Administrator engages with residents, families, and community groups, and participates in various committees and meetings to enhance the quality of care and services provided.
