About The Position

The Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) at MediLodge of Campus Area is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the facility, ensuring compliance with company policies and state and federal regulations, and providing high-quality care to residents. This role requires an innovative leader who can drive employee engagement and retention while overseeing financial performance and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration.
  • Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) or eligible for reciprocity.
  • Two years of experience as a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in a long-term care facility or completion of an AIT program.
  • Knowledge of Long Term Care and Medicaid and Medicare regulations and standards.
  • Ability to work with a large staff and diverse client base.

  • Experience in cost reporting, profit and loss, and budget compliance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their families.
  • Skilled in directing and motivating the workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the nursing home facility.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and state and federal regulations.
  • Lead the planning process to develop goals for quality care and employee retention.
  • Direct the hiring and training of personnel, ensuring all employees receive proper orientation and ongoing training.
  • Prepare annual budgets for approval by Regional Management.
  • Guide the activities of clinical, administrative, and service departments.
  • Implement control systems to ensure accountability across all departments.
  • Represent the facility at community meetings and promote programs through various media.
  • Monitor performance for goal achievement and improvement, taking corrective action when necessary.
  • Responsible for census development and marketing.
  • Serve as the facility's Equal Employment Opportunity Coordinator.
  • Act as chairperson of the facility's Performance Improvement Committee.
